My request was denied and now it is past due, do I need to pay the late fees?

You may present the notification letter to the MDPVB for a waiver of the late fees.

I received a past due notice after you said I would not have to pay it.

During the review process Miami Dade Parking Violations Bureau (MDPVB) will still reflect the citation as pending, consequently late notices will be sent. However, if the citation is dismissed, all fees will be waived. If the citation is not dismissed, you may present the notification letter to the MDPVB for a waiver of the late fees.

Should I pay the citation while it is under review?

No. If a citation is paid during the review process we cannot issue a refund.

Can I appeal a citation that is past due?

No. You have a period of 30 days to appeal a citation via the City’s administrative review process. You can appeal a citation with Miami-Dade County Clerk at any time.

How long does it take to process my request?

The review process usually takes approximately one to three weeks. You can check the status of your appeal at any time by visiting our website.
